"Madonna" is part of a new series that touches on topics of materialism, racial identity, consumerism, beauty, and gender expectations. Korea is a large market for technology and social media.

Korean culture is getting a large amount of exposure in the western media largely due to the popularization of Korean exported culture.

This artwork challenges whether this new popularity is good attention for Asian-Americans. The media being consumed tends to be a polished version and brings unhealthy expectations for Asians.

Simultaneously, the work celebrates the positive influence and representation coming from the country's cultural exportation.
